Hope City Day Program
The Hope City Day Program (HCDP) trains people to work in missions in the inner city. Alongside the core value of intimacy with Jesus. HCDP also focuses on a lifestyle of prayer, character development, and promoting unity in the Body of Christ. Participants grow in the knowledge and love of God through Bible study and prayer; they also develop the life skills they need to minister in an inner city context by leading in the Hope City prayer room, serving in the soup kitchen, participating in the food distribution project, and evangelism outreaches. We do this along with ministering to and living among recovering gang members, drug addicts, and the homeless.
Hands-on training is complemented by classroom instruction on biblical themes such as intimacy with Jesus, ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit, justice, and the emotions of God as expressed through the bridal paradigm. Whether studying the Bible, learning the harp and bowl model of worship and prayer, or spending time with the homeless, ministry at Hope City is done while maintaining the heart commitment to fall deeper in love with Jesus.
